Choose one of the 14 climbing walls within AFL Max and have some fun racing your teammates whilst working on your core strength. Climbing requires much more than upper-body strength. The success of completing a route relies heavily on a long list of physical factors, including intricate footwork, lower-body strength, and lean muscle mass. Although not often thought of as a common form of cardio, ascending walls is a sure way to get your heart pumping, similar to the way climbing stairs or jogging does.
Climbing a wall also teaches children great hand, feet, and eye coordination. Enhanced coordination skills developed through climbing can also be transferred to many other aspects of life, including other sports. It’s also a great way to reinforce the understanding of left and right.
